Richie Furay is officially 2 hip!
Uncategorized March 25th, 2008For all of you who have been following the Richie Furay hip replacement saga Part II, you will be happy to hear that my papas’ surgery went over great today! For those who did not know, Richie had his second hip replacement today at University of Colorado hospital. The same doctor who performed the first replacement on the other side also performed this surgery and in the doctors’ words, “It went perfect!”. So, thank you all for your prayers and please keep praying for a speedy recovery. We are all looking very forward to getting out on the road again and a tour with Jimmy Messina may be in the works…

Wow Jesse! I was reading on Richie’s website about the mystery man he said would be touring with him. Even Scott Fellen said he couldn’t say. Jim Messina! Wow I can’t believe it! I’ll tell everyone and they’ll go crazy. Can you please post some of the official dates so I can plan a head? -Joe

Hi Joe, sorry can’t do that yet… That is so, so unofficial yet and you know in this industry things are changing all of the time. Papa is still in the hospital in recovery right now and we won’t know for sure for at least a month or so if we’ll be officially getting out on the road with Jimmy. We would definitely love to, last time we played with Jimmy and the girls we all had so much fun! I’ll definitely keep updating the site as things solidify. God bless!

Hey everyone. Just wanted to update everyone on my Papa. He has been home for about 5 days now and is doing reasonably well. My mom left him alone for the first time yesterday and he survived.
So…..let’s start singing and playing right??? Keep him in your prayers and hopefully if it’s God’s will we will be rockin’ in no time flat.

Hey Jesse…looks like it’s TOUR TIME!! Sellersville Theatre in Pennsylvania on July 21…so I guess YOU will be, too! And the whole band! Can’t wait to see the entire tour schedule so I can plan my vacation(s)

FYI everyone, you probably have figured this out by now but the tour with the ‘mystery man’ is off; just didn’t work out. We have some other stuff in the works though with an East Coast tour coming up and hopefully a West coast tour to follow. See yall soon.
