Richie Furay at BB King’s tonight in New York City
Uncategorized July 20th, 2007Yeah, we are kickin’ it live tonight in NYC. BBKing’s is a really cool venue. Chris Hillman and Herb go on at 8:00pm ET and I think we start around 9:00pm. I’m pretty sure my Dad will be autographing the new CD Heartbeat of Love for any fans there so bring your copy if you already have it. We played in PA last night and Alexandria, VA the night before. Man Alexandria was a great audience! So NYC had better rock it out tonight. Especially since I lived here for 8 years, these are my peeps.
See you tonight at BB Kings.

I found this great review of Heartbeat of Love and thought you would like it. I’m not sure who wrote it or I would credit them. I found it on this site http://www.free-albums.net/albums_review-Richie+Furay.asp
Review: Richie Furay, Heartbeat of Love. 2007 New Release.
I don’t even remember the last time I loved an album so much that I had to keep listening to it over and over. Well, that is definitely the case with this wonderful effort from Richie Furay, family, and friends. Kind Woman and Let’s Dance Tonight have now received their definitive treatment. Any other versions will need to be compared to the recordings on this CD. Hearing Jesse Furay Lynch harmonize with her father is a special treat that only enhances my enjoyment. There is not a bad song out of the twelve recorded here, and the title song, along with You And Me will probably be stolen and covered by other artists, as could many of the songs. Every time I listen I hear something else that delights me. You will hear Timothy B. Schmit’s lovely harmonies on My Heart is Crying, Stephen Stills on Calling Out Your Name, and a number of other singers and musicians who add to the joy of this project. Did I mention I love it? Anyone who loves the music of Buffalo Springfield, Poco, and Richie should give it a listen. An easy no-brainer to give it five stars.
And I concur! It was great hearing you in Alexandria Jesse. God bless you.

Jesse, you are an amazing talent with true star quality. I don’t want to say you stole the show, but it was close! You could easily record on your own. Looking forward to seeing you another time.

Hi, Jesse -
I just wanted to tell you what a great time my friend and I had last night at the Paradise in Boston! This gig was not well publicized, and I’m thankful that I accidentally spotted the listing just three days ago. It was a thrill bumping into your dad before the show and having a quick chat. You guys sound great together and the setlist covered just about everything a fan could ask for. Thanks so much to you, your family, Scott, and everyone for supporting Richie in this effort; he clearly loves performing and I think needs to be out here sharing his gift. Best of luck as the tour continues!

Hi Preston. Thank you for you kind words and your support. I am looking forward to many more great shows with my Dad and the gang before I start to think about any other asperations. The Lord has blessed Richie with an amazing gift and as long as he’s still rockin I am happy to be rockin along with him. It’s really pretty amazing you know to see that other side of your Dad. Thanks for coming to see us and thanks for stopping by the site.

Hi Jim. Thanks for your encouragement. Your right on about everyone’s families really making this tour possible. You don’t realize how much of a sacrifice a performers’ family has to make to let them follow their dreams. It really gives me a better perspective and appreciation for my Mom.
Richie really still does love performing he was born to do it and it’s great to see that glimmer in his eye when he gets up on that stage and starts pickin.
I’m glad you found the show too we are a bit limited on publicity unfortunately and it’s hard to generate a lot of buzz without it when you’ve been out of the industry for over 20 years. But so far the tour is going great and the fans have been a blessing. Thanks for stopping by the site. God bless.
